Privacy Policy
Last updated June 17, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how ParkTab, Inc. (“ParkTab,” “we,” or “us”) collects, uses, and shares personal information when you use the ParkTab mobile and web applications, websites, and related services (the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account and contact information — your mobile phone number (used to verify your account) and, if you provide it, your name and email address.
- Vehicle information — the license plate(s), region, and vehicle details you enter for parking sessions, including any vehicles you save.
- Parking session information — the lots you park at, session start and end times, durations, extensions, amounts, and receipts. This indicates where and when you have parked.
- Payment information — payment method details are collected and processed by our payment processor (for example, Stripe). We receive limited details such as the card brand, the last four digits, and transaction results; we do not store full card numbers.
- Device and usage information — IP address, device and browser type, app interactions, and similar diagnostic and analytics data, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
- Communications — messages you send us for support and your contact and notification preferences.
2. How we use information
- To provide the Service: verify you, start and manage parking sessions, and process payments;
- To send transactional messages such as verification codes, session and receipt notifications;
- To support enforcement and operations at the lots where you park;
- To provide customer support and respond to your requests;
- To secure the Service, prevent fraud and abuse, and debug;
- To analyze and improve the Service and develop new features;
- To comply with law and enforce our Terms of Service.
3. How we share information
We share personal information in these circumstances:
- Parking operators. When you park at a location, we share session details needed to authorize parking and support enforcement (such as your plate, session times, and payment status) with the operator of that location.
- Service providers. We share information with vendors that process it on our behalf, including payment processing (Stripe), authentication, text and email messaging, hosting, and analytics. They are permitted to use the information only to provide services to us.
- Legal and safety. We may disclose information to comply with law, legal process, or lawful requests, and to protect the rights, property, or safety of ParkTab, our users, or others.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We will not share your opt-in to an SMS campaign with any third party for purposes unrelated to providing you with the services of that campaign. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with, or sold to, any third party.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under California law.
4. Cookies and analytics
We and our analytics providers use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Service, remember your preferences, and understand usage so we can improve it. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect functionality.
5. Data retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the Service and for legitimate business and legal purposes, such as maintaining session and payment records, resolving disputes, complying with tax and accounting obligations, and enforcing our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.
6. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. See our security page for how to report a vulnerability.
7. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, including under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA, you may have the right to:
- Know and access the personal information we have collected about you;
- Request deletion of your personal information;
- Request correction of inaccurate personal information;
- Opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” of personal information (note: we do not sell or share personal information);
- Not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising your rights.
To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will verify your request, typically using the phone number associated with your account, before responding. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf where permitted by law.
8. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Some browsers offer “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals. Because we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, these signals do not change what we do, but we honor opt-out preference signals to the extent required by law.
9. Children’s privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where applicable), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice through the Service or by other reasonable means and update the “Last updated” date above.
